Executive Chef Reginald L. Martin Jr.

Executive Chef Reginald L. Martin Jr. graduated from Texas A&M University in 1990. He was trained to prepare classical French cuisine at the Alain & Marie Lenotre Culinary Institute in Houston.

Chef Martin has been featured at the Grand Wine and Food Festival and ABC’s Crossroads, and has hosted his own series of cooking shows on the Houston Media source public access channel. In 2014 he was recognized by the Texas Restaurant Association and the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation as Educator of the Year for the State of Texas.

He currently serves as President of the Greater Houston Restaurant Association and sits on the Board of Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau and Texas Restaurant Association.

Chef Martin has spent the last 7 years focused on Link Learning Programs at the Secondary and Post-Secondary level, teaching students how use both core academic competencies and industry and entrepreneurial training that will lead them to post-secondary degrees or high paying jobs in their respective career pathway.

He currently serves as Culinary Director of Westside High School Culinary Academy and Adjunct Instructor for Houston Community College in a Career and Technology Program designed to provide students Dual Credit and Career Training that will lead to Post-Secondary Degrees and Specialized Industry Certifications in the Foodservice and Hospitality Industry.
