Brittanye Calhoun

Brittanye Calhoun is an emerging leader in project management.  Calhoun serves as a project manager for J. Hood & Associates. Using her expertise, Calhoun has facilitated revision and implementation of school policy in accordance with changes to state regulations. Her experience includes working with K12 Virtual Academy learning coaches to implement new learning models and evaluation tools.  Serving as a project manager, Calhoun oversaw execution, evaluation, and reform of numerous pilot programs and case studies designed to enrich the classroom experience and increase student performance.  She was also responsible for ensuring all ethical standards are met by keeping parents informed throughout this process. Serving as a parent liaison, Calhoun assists parents in choosing educational alternatives by using effective communication models that chart a clear plan of action, and executing those plans to achieve strong academic outcomes for students.

Calhoun formerly served in the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  During her tenure, she assisted in the implementation of the 2009 Recovery Act through development of the Department’s primary database. Calhoun’s expertise in process management and data infrastructure was critical to reshaping the customer service experience delivered to the Department’s constituents.

Calhoun is a native of Fairfield County, Connecticut and resides in the Washington, D.C Metropolitan Area. Calhoun is passionate about wellness, and enjoys the arts in her free time. She is an alum of Howard University, and a 2015 Master of Business Administration Candidate, with a specialization in Project Management.
