#GameChangers Campaign

On December 25th, Sony Pictures will release CONCUSSION starring Will Smith. CONCUSSION is a truly remarkable film, starring Will Smith, based on the true and courageous journey of Dr. Bennet Omalu, the brilliant Nigerian American forensic pathologist, who made the first discovery of CTE, a football-related brain trauma caused by repeated concussions and fought for the truth to be known. Even as Dr. Omalu’s discovery put him at dangerous odds with one of the most powerful institutions in the world – the NFL – he refused to back down.

The film speaks to those life-changing moments when we, as individuals, are brave enough to stand in our truth, even in the face of wrongdoing, and as a result, we change the world around us. From Dec. 25th – January
18th, we are partnering with Sony Pictures to launch the #GameChangers Campaign – an initiative to lift up the unseen everyday acts of courage that immigrants and people of color engage in daily to create change for their families, communities and the world – and to amplify Dr. Omalu’s courageous work. We want to celebrate those
who speak up despite difficult circumstances and stand as advocates for others who cannot speak for themselves.

During this time, we are asking labor, faith, community and civic leaders to engage your communities in celebrating those who speak up despite great personal risk and stand as advocates for others who cannot speak for themselves.
